What's leonardite-humic acid?

Weathered coal is the outcrop coal, commonly known as "coal". Generally speaking, lignite, bituminous coal and anthracite, which are close to or exposed to the surface, are formed by the infiltration and weathering of air, sunlight, rain and snow, wind and sand, and freezing. The humic acid produced by this process is called weathered coal humic acid, also known as natural regenerative humic acid. The humic acid content in weathered coal fluctuates greatly, which can vary from 5% to 80%.

Weathered coal has the characteristics of low strength, small hardness, increasing hygroscopicity and low calorific value. Weathered coal humic acid and lignite humic acid have similar characteristics. It is one of the important sources of coal humic acid, and has a wide application in the field of industry and agriculture.

There has not been a systematic survey on the reserves of weathered coal at home and abroad. The reserves of weathered coal are abundant in China. According to incomplete statistics, it is about 1000 million tons. Most areas of the country have weathered coal, with large reserves in parts of Shanxi, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Yunnan and Henan. Shanxi and Xinjiang, not only have large reserves, but also have good quality.
